openpack is a digital platform for the corrugated and packaging industry, connecting manufacturers with their machine builders, service providers and suppliers in one digital ecosystem. Its Enterprise Data Hub standardizes and shares data across manufacturing machines, harmonizing formats so an industry's processes run on one exchange rather than manual, per-vendor integration.
- The approach
- Built and maintained within an Nx monorepo (migrated from Webpack to Vite), the React/TypeScript frontend shipped with a Storybook component library. In sprints with the product owner, tech leads, UX and backend, UI/UX designs became precise interfaces, and frontend-facing specs for the backend APIs, refactoring initiatives and the Auth0/Keycloak integration were written up front.

- Delivered core features, from data visualisations built on the backend data models to asset management, mobile views and an AI-assisted translation feature, with clean, maintainable code held up by refactorings, reviews, quality gates and CI/CD, Playwright end-to-end tests, Biome and SonarQube.
